Haunt the Woods

Bio

Haunt The Woods are an English alternative rock band whose music defies easy categorisation, weaving together elements of alt-rock, prog, folk and pop with a richly expressive sound. Formed between Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall in the mid-2010s, the band have built a dedicated following through their dynamic song writing and atmospheric live performances.

The quartet’s line-up includes Jonathan Stafford (vocals/rhythm guitar), Phoenix Elleschild (lead guitar), Jack Hale (bass) and Oliver Bignell (drums). Their music reflects an expansive range of influences, with critics and listeners identifying nods to artists such as Queen, Muse, Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, all blended into Haunt The Woods’ own distinctive voice.

Haunt The Woods released their debut album Opaque in 2020, following earlier EPs The Line and Circle. They have since continued to evolve, releasing singles including Fever Dream and Gold ahead of their second album Ubiquity, which explores themes ranging from personal struggle to broader reflections on the human experience.

Recognised for both their thoughtful compositions and commanding live presence, Haunt The Woods are emerging as one of the UK’s most compelling alternative rock acts. Their sound combines lyrical depth with striking sonic textures, making their performances at festivals like Morvala a highlight for fans of adventurous and emotive rock music.
